Make Your Training Count
It’s OK With Us If Your Team Isn’t Trained on MS365. Really, It’s Cool.
Listen. There’s no judgement here. We know that budgets are tight, and your team is overworked. You’ve invested in Microsoft 365 and the team knows the basics – more depth will come, right?
Eventually, they’ll become more proficient. After all, you only hire the best. Smart people are resourceful and figure things out. Give them time and let’s see what happens.
The question is, how long can you and your bottom line wait?
Microsoft 365 is a powerful, versatile platform designed to improve organizational efficiency. You’ve already put time, energy and of course, money, into the platform, so how much longer will you wait for your team to optimize it?
Here’s the uncomfortable truth: without proper training, that investment is likely underperforming. Worse, it may be actually costing you time, money, and morale.
We see it all the time. Companies spend on software and licenses, then the expectation is that their team will use it to capacity straight out of the gate. But when it comes to equipping their teams to actually use these tools effectively, training is treated as optional. It’s not.
Basics are nice, but....
Sure, we can send emails. Calendaring is fine (sometimes we double book, but doesn’t everyone?), documents are hanging out somewhere in your One Drive. Formatting is questionable and spreadsheets take a LOT of manual adjusting, but still. We’re making it work! Right?
How many times have you strolled by a desk with not just one person on the keyboard, but another one looking over their shoulder, and one sitting on the corner of the desk squinting at the monitor?
That’s because the team is doing their best to find someone in the office that has a little more experience using MS with the hope that they can become the resident ‘expert’ and help everyone with more than the basics. Now you have at least 3 people at one desk, working on one project/spreadsheet/document, while other (ahem, possibly important?) work is sitting idle.
An untrained staff might be ok with the basics, but chances are they’ll struggle. They miss out on automation opportunities, fail to collaborate efficiently, and often revert to outdated workflows. The result? Bottlenecks, duplicated efforts, security risks, and frustrated employees.
Consider this: Microsoft 365 includes tools like Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Planner, Power Automate, and more. Each one is designed to streamline work and foster innovation. But if your team doesn’t know how to use them—or worse, doesn’t even know they exist—then your organization is operating at a fraction of its potential.
Think of training as empowerment. We do.
Training isn’t just about teaching people where to click. It’s about empowering them to solve problems, collaborate smarter, and make informed decisions. It’s about building a culture of digital confidence.
When your staff is trained:
· They use tools correctly and securely.
· They discover features that save hours of manual work.
· They feel more engaged and less overwhelmed.
· They contribute to a more agile, responsive organization.
Microsoft is only as powerful as the people using it
You wouldn’t buy a fancy new car and toss the keys to your friend who skipped out on driving lessons would you? So why invest in enterprise-grade software and leave your team to figure it out on their own?
As Microsoft trainers, we help organizations unlock the full value of their investment. We don’t just teach features—we build fluency. Because when your team knows how to use Microsoft 365 to its fullest, your business runs better.
But really, we’re ok with your undertrained team. I swear.
I said it before, and I’ll say it again. No judgement here. You have to consider the best interests of your team and organization. If training isn’t a part of that plan, we understand.
But just consider this: my experience (of about 30 years, but who’s counting?) tells me that training is in the best interest of everyone. I want your dollars to stretch far and wide when it comes to Microsoft 365. Training to the full capabilities of the platform can make that happen.
When I train teams, we unlock potential. We honor your investment, make training fun and memorable and your team walks away with an empowered, confident approach to MS365.
That’s money well spent my friend.
