Training Plans Build More Than Skills

Your organization has already invested a boatload in your tech, right? If you aren’t familiar with the term, a ‘boatload’ is a lot of money. It’s a unit of measurement that organizations use when they spend on the good stuff.

Including tech.

What are they missing though? Where is that boatload falling short?

A training plan, of course.

If your people can’t use the tools, the investment goes to waste.

And a training plan isn’t about technical skills only.

It is about creating the work environment where your people are empowered, curious, energized, and soaking up information like a sponge.

What if we’re not confident yet?

That’s where training begins. Building confidence is the key and when employees understand the tools available to them, they find solutions instead of more questions.

They problem solve on their own and they experiment with new methods of getting that problem solved.

Ultimately, that’s where the confidence comes from. They feel more confident, and work improves, productivity soars and solutions become the order of the day.

You want collaboration? Training-plan-it!

Creating your Microsoft training plan will improve collab for sure. Teams work better and stronger together, and cross departmental collaboration is a breeze.

When you all know how to use Teams effectively for example, the result is smoother teamwork.

What else can you count on?

Consistency, clear document management, and of course, Copilot adoption.

These are the building blocks of your training plan, see how easy it already is?

Want a better, more seamless UX? Train your team on the tech!

When your team is empowered and educated, they make better choices faster. They produce the answers to your customer questions in real time, they are able to adapt to quick changes and improve turnaround times with the tech stack you’ve brought in house.

Because you invested in training on the products.

Service recovery becomes a rare event, and when it does happen, your team knows how to make the right choice for the customer and the organization.

In fact, organizations with a learning plan are showing their team that they are also investing in them.

That’s impactful on your company culture in the best way.

How to structure this learning plan?

First off, don’t wait until there’s a problem.

Create opportunities for your people to learn deliberately, not reactively.

There are plenty of ways to tackle the plan, whether you do role-based training, new hire onboarding, platform specific skill development, beginner/intermediate/advanced builds, and plenty more.

Technology changes at the speed of light, so keep up.

Keep up.

If your organization has a technology roadmap, make sure you have a training roadmap too.

If you aren’t sure what that looks like, let’s talk. At Excel and Flourish, we work with organizations every day that have robust training plans for their teams, and we can deliver. We’ve seen what works and can help you create the plan for your people.

And, PS, 2027 is almost here, so don’t wait. Get ahead of the curve and get that plan in place.
